We had a very busy weekend. Layne's parents came to enjoy the craziness with us. We went to Matthew's soccer game on Friday night and then had Kennedy's dance recital on Saturday night (I somehow did not get ANY photos of either one of those).
On Sunday morning, Matthew came bouncing into my room at 6:30 am. He was begging for breakfast. I took him downstairs and then he suggested we watch a movie first. I told him we weren't watching a movie because it was church day and Mother's Day. Then he said, "I have to make you breakfast in bed if it's Mother's Day." I told him he didn't have to, but he insisted. Just then Layne came downstairs and Matthew sent me back to bed. I gave them my order and Matthew eagerly started helping make my breakfast. When he brought it up to me, he snuggled into bed with me and said he just wanted to sit and watch me eat because he just loves me. What a great Mother's Day gift.
Layne surprised me with gorgeous pearl earrings and cleaned the kitchen for me. Our ward passed out jumbo chocolate bars for all the moms! YUM (I prefer this much more than a pansy that I will kill within a week of getting it). After church we headed to my parents to have dinner with them. It was a fun, busy, great weekend! I feel very blessed to be the mother to three wonderful children!!
