Easter Outfits

I have finally come to accept the fact that my Kennedy does NOT love dresses like I did as a little girl.  That said, she still needs dresses for church and I still have a desire to make her frilly little things.  Well, since Easter completely snuck up on me this year, I was okay with making her a very simple spring dress that I knew she would wear.

As a side note...I really really wanted to make a cute bow or flower to go with her dress, but ran out of time and President Uchdorf's talk about good and bad sacrifices (you know sacrificing your sleep on a Saturday night because you stayed up till midnight making a hairbow for your daughter) kept running through my mind.  So, no hair bow, and actually no time to even curl her hair this morning (Kennedy was thrilled at the straight hair).

Of course I saw these adorable ties and wanted to make coordinating ties for my boys.  The good news was they were really pretty simple and cost effective.  I think I made Kennedy's dress and the boys' ties all for under $20.  So, they are nothing too fancy, but it was fun to make and I think I will make more ties in the future.

Happy Easter!

My favorite part of Easter Sunday is to go to church and see all of the little ones in their cute little dresses, etc. I told Ward today, "Mel's probably got her kids all coordinated." Was I right or was I right?--HaHa. I love what you do. They look great! And Kennedy does look happy with her straight hair.
