I haven't posted for awhile.....nothing too exciting going on here.......mostly survival of the day to day tasks of having 3 young children.
Anyway, Kennedy makes an ordinary day not so ordinary which is something I adore about her. Last week she tied a stuffed leopard to her wrist. She was so excited and came to ask if she could bring the leopard with us on our trip to Hogle Zoo (mind you we are planning this trip around Memorial Day, so like at least 100 days from now). Then she told me that she wanted to keep the leopard tied to her so she wouldn't forget to bring it. I explained that she could NOT keep the thing tied to her until May and she told me that she would take it off for baths and church!! Whatever. So, she somehow went potty and ate lunch and dinner with the silly thing tied to her. Well, at bedtime I told her to take the leopard off and go get her Pj's on. She informed me that she didn't need to take the leopard off and I just smiled. "Okay," I said. Sure enough, a few minutes later, she was screaming for help.....the leopard was stuck in her shirt sleeve!! Nothing like determination, though. She has since forgotten about the leopard...hooray!
Awhile back I told Kennedy that we should decorate her room as she is in the basement which feels a bit dark and gloomy. She immediately asked if we could paint her room pink. I said we could and even took her to pick out the paint. The pink she chose was described by my mother as "peptobismol pink". Anyway, on President's Day Layne helped me paint her room pink....he actually ended up doing most of the work. Let's just say it is PINK.....I prefer to call it bubble gum pink. What makes it all worth it is that the whole entire time we were painting, Kennedy was oohing and ahhing and saying how pretty it was and that she picked out just the right color of pink. Now I have yet to hang up some decorations, none of which will be pink!
The photos are her this morning decorating sugar cookies. She saw a girl on a movie wearing a bandana like this and HAD to wear one! Like I say, Kennedy can turn an ordinary day into something fun and exciting and worth living for!

Fun! She is so cute! I want to see a picture of this bubble gum pink.
How funny. I think I was about that age when I had a pepto-pink room too. She sure is adorable.
I will have to send you a picture of my mom's room. Sh is an adult who never outgrew the idea of a pepto pink room! It might scare her into reconsidering. You are making a Utah trip!? What are the dates? We want to see you guys.
