I had been wanting to paint my kitchen wall for awhile, I finally got a wild hair and decided to go for it. The goal was to start after Layne left for work, finish before he got home and watch him admire it and say, "Wow, that looks really nice. I never would have wanted you to paint that wall, but it turned out great!" Well, let's just say he walked in and started mumbling under his breath and when I asked what he thought, he said, "I HATE IT." Truth of the matter was, my "asparagus" green was a bit much and it showed into my front room and did NOT match that decor at all. Here is a photo of the original color and then the new color on the edges (they really aren't that different, but for some reason it made a huge difference once it covered the entire wall.)

The new color is more of a sage green and I think it's a little more nuetral...it's hard to tell in the photos. Anyway, the good news is that Layne likes the new look, the bad news is he wants to look for a new job!! Now I'm not as excited about painting my house.
I'm trying to figure out what to put in these little metal pots....they had spring looking grass, but I need something fall/winter.

Looks good! We painted my Mom's living room a few months ago, and just went a shade (maybe 2) darker. It made a big difference. I was very surprised.
Maybe Overton Power is hiring and you could come back and be my friend.
Maybe some poinsettias in the pots, or some fall leaves. I don't want you to move, then we would really never see you. we already barely see you. If you're too far away then how can we come to the kids baptisms?! Did he ever think about that!?! (Since it's all about me, of corse!) :)
