My Boys

It feels like I post a lot about Kennedy lately, so I didn't want to neglect my sweet, energetic boys!!!
I have some serious Mama's Boys.  Sometimes it gets a bit much, but most of the time I adore having them glued to my side.

Whenever I'm in the kitchen cooking, it's the boys that pull up a chair to help me lately.  Hyrum is especially interested in dumping in the ingredients and helping stir.  If I tell him that it's my turn to stir, he will just put his hand on top of mine and "help" me stir.

Here's Matthew with his "meat glove" on so he could help me get the meat into the marinade the other night.

Here's Hyrum tasting the lime for me...he liked it!

Besides helping in the kitchen, they are easily amused and say the funniest things.  The other day I put Hyrum's lunch in front of him and said, "Your chicken is served."  He said, in his adorable 3-year-old-voice, "Thank You lady."

Last night Hyrum followed me into the bathroom and was watching me brush my teeth.  When I got done he said, "Good job, Mom.  You did it."

Yesterday at dinner, we were discussing Kennedy's dramatic social life and the problems thereof.  It was hilarious...Matthew was saying things like, "If she says that again, just tell her you can't be her friend."  Layne and I just looked at him, he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Just some advice."   Then Hyrum turns to Kennedy and says, "Is that girl trouble?"  Too funny.

I love my brown-eyed boys (Layne included).

P.S.  Below is a photo of what we woke up to this morning.  It was really beautiful, it just seems more beautiful in December.  I just started laughing and thought, "Good thing I didn't box up the coats."
