Kennedy is 5 Years Old Today

I can't believe my little girl is 5! She is such a fun little girl to have around. Here are some things that make Kennedy special to me:



She is very aware of other people. She will randomly tell me not to worry about things if she can tell that I'm stressed out. If she sees someone crying she will ask me why they are crying and want to help them feel better.



She has a mind of her own. When she came with my mom to the hospital to see Hyrum for the first time, she was wearing her black, velvet church dress. She had planned it the night before and had decided she wanted to dress up to meet her baby brother. Sometimes this characteristic has made us butt heads, but I think it is definitely one of her strong points too.



She is super imaginative and fun! She adores painting, coloring, cutting and gluing. The other day she was gluing something together and saying, "Mom, I just love crafts." She comes up with some pretty clever creations.



She is also a pretty happy girl. The other night I asked her to wash her hands so she could help me shred lettuce for dinner. The whole time she was washing her hands she was saying, "I'm so excited to do the lettuce."



All in all, she is a fun, smart, cute girl and I'm secretly glad that she missed the deadline for kindergarten so I can have her around for one more year.
