Kids are amazing. Mine are forever trying my patience and surprising me. They are little wild cards and you just never know what they are going to say or do. Here's what my kids are up to:
Kennedy is ALWAYS wanting to make or create something. I bought a Family Fun craft book for kids and she will sit and study it for hours on end and then tell me what we will be making that day. She helped make a "bread turtle". It was actually really easy (especially since I used frozen dough). She loves a PROJECT. Hmm....I wonder whose kid she is?
Kennedy got a new CTR ring today at church and she is actually excited about it and wearing it! Last year when she got her first CTR ring, she came home and told us that she was NOT going to wear it and she did NOT want to choose the right! I'm so happy that she has decided to leave the "dark side". She is so funny. She also used to tell us that she is NOT going to get baptized no matter what. We had a FHE on baptism last week and she didn't once throw out the "I'm not getting baptized" statement. It was kind of cute because Layne was talking about the priesthood and that someday Kennedy would marry someone with the priesthood. Kennedy covered her face and started blushing. She's so cute. My favorite was the other night when she and Mattie were playing and suddenly she runs over and says, "Mom, I think you need to take Matt to the doctor. He's tweezing!" Yes, to much talk of wheezing at our house. She cracks me up!
Matthew has made some big improvements on his behavior this week. He was sooo good in Sunbeams today that we made him a cake after church! He was so excited in Primary because he got chosen as the spotlight. So, he went up front and got to choose some gum balls and then answer questions about himself. They asked what his favorite holiday was and he said, "when we watch Spiderman." He's a cutie. He and Hyrum were goofing around laughing the other day and Matthew said, "You got two silly boys from the hospital didn't you Mom?" During his prayer tonight he said, very seriously, "Thank you for sister's Barbie Movie, please bless her to be able to watch it again and again and again."
Hyrum has graduated from Toilet Swisher to Sneaky Toilet Swisher. I can't believe how much this kid likes to play in the toilet!! I was on the phone this afternoon and I looked up to make sure I could see him playing in the family room. Two minutes later, I got off the phone and found him in the bathroom. "Oh good, "I thought, "the toilet lid was shut so he didn't get in the toilet." Then I went to pick him up and one entire sleeve was soaking wet! Now he can open the lid, swish and close it again. How nice!!
You know, when I taught school, I always had really funny stories and good "material" to share. Then I had Kennedy, quit teaching and for a good year, I only had sweet, precious things to report. Well, let's just say that I'm back to having "material" to share and I have PLENTY of it. Never a dull moment around here!

Charity, totally gave us the I'm not getting baptised bit. She had three cousins all born the same year as her, all getting baptised the same year.I thought she was going to be the only one not too but she finally did make the right decision. Sounds like Kennedy is very strong-willed! Have fun with that! haha
Cute as heck!!
