The Kids

Hyrum LOVES to go outside (too bad it snowed AGAIN yesterday!). Anyway, on Monday, Kennedy and Matt went to play out back. Hyrum stood at the glass door whimpering while he watched them play. Finally, he threw himself onto the ground and started really setting it up. So I said, "Hyrum, you can go outside if you get you're shoes on." He immediately smiled, stopped his crying and got up to help me look for his new shoes. Too funny!

The other day I was listening to a conversation between Kennedy and Matthew that I don't want to forget because it was just so funny. It went like this:
Matthew: Kennedy, when you grow up are you going to marry me?
Kennedy: No, Matt.
Matthew: Yes, sister, I want you to marry me when you grow up.
Kennedy: Why would I marry you, Matt, we always fight with each other.
Matthew: Sister, I promise I'll be nice to you, pleeeaaaasse?

Finally I intervened and told Matthew that someday he would meet someone just as cute, smart and fun as Kennedy and he would want to marry her. Matt said, "I'll just marry you, mom."

I thought it was pretty funny that Kennedy's reason that she wouldn't marry him was because they fight all the time, forget the fact that they are brother and sister!

Anyway, the kids had a great Easter....our next door neighbor, Charlie who is a widower, surprised my kids with a huge basket full of toys and candy....it was very sweet and my kids adore him and his dogs.

My parents and grandma came for Easter dinner and it was nice. My only Easter regret was that I didn't get a chance to snap even one picture of my kids all dolled up for Easter.......maybe when (if) the weather ever warms up, I'll try to get a few photos of the kids outside. I think last year that didn't happen until June!
