Parenting

   While at Barnes and Nobles the other day, my boys were playing at the train table with another little boy.  He was about a year and half old.  After a few minutes his asian mom asked how old my boys were.  Then in broken English she asked me how old kids are when they do what you tell them to do!!!  I didn't have the heart to tell her...NEVER.  I told her that usually by the time they are three or four they start obeying better......I didn't want to totally burst her bubble.  I'm sure she'll start figuring out that as much as we want to control our kids, they are ultimately in control of themselves, not us.
