The weather has finally warmed up and we are taking full advantage. Layne bought the kids fishing poles and they have spent hours out on the driveway practicing their casting. They are actually pretty good. Kennedy can get her line clear across our driveway into the neighbor's yard.

Layne really took them fishing last Friday on the river. When they got home, Matthew said, "We caught a fish, Mom....from the supermarket!" Layne stopped at the store and bought a salmon to cook. It was fun.

Here's Hyrum enjoying his snacks and drinking out of a big boy cup while his siblings practice "fishing".

Over the 4th, we headed to Layne's parents' in Paul. The kids had sooo much fun. They got to fly their kites in the church parking lot.

Here's Matthew concentrating on his kite.

Matthew's kite stayed up so good and so long that he actually got bored and handed his kite over to me.

Hyrum enjoyed riding his bike while they flew their kites. I LOVE his koolaid mustache.

Hyrum really wants to ride Kennedy's bike...here's Grandpa Maxfield giving him a ride.

After the parade and BBQ on the 4th, Grandma and Grandpa got out the kiddie pool and the slip-and-slide even thought it was only our kids there. (How nice).

We had a fun weekend and we were completely exhausted! Our other summer activites include picking strawberries at my Grandma's house and making strawberry jam (my first time EVER), going hiking up Kelly Canyon and going to t-ball games. Tonight after FHE, we headed to Reed's Dairy to get ice cream. We had heard it was really good and yes, it was REALLY good. I think that is the best ice cream I've had in YEARS!

Hyrum is sporting his summer pj's (they are actually Matthew's). I LOVE his chubby little legs...too cute.
