Kennedy's First Day of Kindergarten

Well, Kennedy started her first day of kindergarten on Monday......she was a bit disappointed that it was raining when she woke up that day, but luckily it subsided so we could still walk to school. She was also disappointed that the first day was only an hour long and the parents stayed in the room the whole time. So, Tuesday was really her first official school day. I admit that while I watched her walk through the doors, I teared up a bit. I am so glad that she is excited to be in school, but this whole going to school thing means it's a new era for our family..........ready or not, it's here.

So, the icing on the cake for me was when we I went to pick her up on Tuesday. She walked out of the school, looked around, didn't see us, and kept looking around nervously. Matthew yelled, "sister!" and she spotted us, came running up to me and jumped into my arms. Later, she said, "Mom, did you know when you came to get me from school I about burst into tears I was so excited to see you!" CUTE.

Monday afternoon was also her first day of dance at her new dance studio. I think she liked it. My little girl is growing up way too fast.
