Hyrum woke up at 4:00 am this morning screaming and crying. I finally looked in his mouth yesterday to see that he is cutting his top molars. I figured he was in pain, gave him some meds and tried to put him back to bed. He screamed and cried, and then I heard weird thumping and bumping. Finally I realized that he was not going to go to sleep so I went to try and help him relax. To my surprise (as he is not tall enough to reach the light switches) his bedroom light was on! That little turkey had moved his toy barn in front of the light switch, climbed up and turned on the light! Pretty clever, huh?
Later this morning, I was dropping off one of Matthew's friends after being on a field trip (photos to come later) and when I came back to the car, there was Hyrum rolling his window up and down with a huge grin on his face. I think he finally got tall enough to reach the button, or I had finally turned the window locks off and the button actually did something this time. Anyway, I get this funny feeling that the days up ahead will be full of these little surprises.
