Last Friday, Layne got a wild hair and took the day off to go Snowboarding. It was a very last minute decision and I was fighting off a sore throat so I didn't go, but he took Kennedy. Layne said that she was a natural. She went a few times with a rope on her and then he let her go. He got some good footage of her and she was fast!!
I would like to learn to ski and hope I'm half as good as Kennedy. My skiing experience equals lots of cross-country skiing and one time downhill with one friend that hadn't skiied in 10 years and another who was learning to snowboard for the first time. They took me on the bunny hill ONE time and then we rode the ski lift up to the "black diamond" trails. Little did I know that the "black diamond" was a symbol for advanced skier trails!! Let's just say it took us the whole entire day to get down the mountain and I didn't really get a good taste in my mouth for downhill skiing. I'm lucky I didn't break a leg.
Anyway, Layne was very pleased with how well Kennedy did and said it was one of the best days of his life. We are hoping to take Mattie next season. Here's the boys trying on the ski goggles.
