Matthew's Birthday Festivities

  Here's what the text says above as it is probably too small to read:

     I think Matthew had a good birthday.  He got a new bike (as his old one was VERY small).  It took some getting used to, but he rides like a pro.  His new bike has a handle that turns like a motorcycle handle and makes a revving sound.  He thinks it's pretty cool....although it made for some pretty scary riding at first as he would focus on making his bike sound like a motorcycle and be swerving like crazy.

     I guess his cake was appropriate for him...the moto-cross cake.  It was actually pretty easy and fun to make once I got all 4 cakes baked and the cookie made for the pond at the bottom.  It was a bit tipsy by the end of his birthday...oops.

    For dinner we had Matt's choice of mac-and-cheese, hot dogs and rolls with jam.  Yum!   Then we all went swimming at Matt's request.  It was a fun day.  Matt is a fun kid who is growing up way too fast!
