Ahhh.....much better. I think I'm going to go ahead and distress it though because then I won't be so annoyed when one of my kids scratches the paint off (which WILL happen).
This was a baby blankie I made for my friend...my first attempt at doing applique. It wasn't as hard as I thought. I used the tutorial for making the blanket here.
I finally made the car caddies I've been wanting to make for my boys. It helped that Matthew knew about the project and kept asking me how much longer until it would be done. I found the tutorial for these here. Mine took a bit longer because I decided to monogram the outside so the boys could keep them straight. So far, they have really enjoyed them. Hyrum has been carrying his around and when he doesn't have it, he's asking for his "road". I'm hoping this will save us fights during sacrament meeting as they end up fighting over the cars and Hyrum drives his cars all over the whole family. We'll see.
Of course my list of crafts is long enough to keep me busy for years to come, but at least I got a few done. I had to put anything crafty away today and force myself to clean the house and do the laundry....on a happy note, the mundane chores don't seem as bad when you've taken a few days off to craft!

Okay wow those are so cute! You are very crafty, I'm impressed!
love all of it! You are one of those women I will never be. I just dont have a crafty bine in my body. I can pretend sometimes, but the sewing gets in my way! haha
very cute indeed!
Wow, I'm so impressed. You've done a great job with everything. I can't wait to see the bench when it's all done, it already looks fantastic. I guess I'll have to wait until the morning, but I'm curious to know how your brisk jog went yesterday.
Those are all amazing! I love the car idea. I need some new quiet tricks for sacrament! The bench looks awesome.
