The past three weeks have felt so hectic with just a bunch of nothing, but everything. We've had dentist appointments, dance class, mutual, book club, Layne went on his motorcycle trip and we headed to Pocatello; just a lot of STUFF going on. I helped take over Kennedy's first grade class for an hour yesterday while they had a Teacher Appreciation Lunch for all of the teachers. I was happily surprised to see that I still have eyes in the back of my head and all of my teacherisms flowed freely....you know, "If you throw that one more time, it's mine." I was also surprised that I kind of missed teaching and considered going back someday....something I've not thought of in a very long time.
So, today, we headed to Blackfoot so we could get out of the house, and clear our heads and not feel the stress of everyday life. We took the kids to Baby Animal Day at the fairgrounds and it was perfect for our little kids. I actually think I enjoyed it much more than the fair just because it wasn't so crowded and my kids got to hold and pet all of the animals. They even had a wagon ride. It was fun! We ate lunch at Rupe's (and thought of you, Cherish). It was very tasty. Then we headed over the the Potato Museum since we were right there and we'd never gone. It was very small, but the kids still enjoyed it. When we got home, I took a much needed nap while my sweet husband planted us a peach tree and a cherry tree. What a great Saturday.
