Pumpkin Harvesting

My cousin talked me into sharing a plot of land out at the church farm to garden.  It was kind of hard to get out there once a week at first, but once everything starting growing, it was fun to go out and pick.  The kids really enjoyed it when they saw the "fruits of their labors".  We got lots of peas, carrots (which we still have lots of), zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce (way too much lettuce), onions, potatoes AND PUMPKINS!   I was supposed to be sewing Halloween costumes today, but I have a HUGE conflict of interest.  I just got a brand new Canon DSLR camera and HAD to go with them to get pumpkins so I could take pictures instead of sew.  Now, I'm going to try and tell myself that there will be no more playing with the camera until the costumes are done....ha ha ha.  Like I have that kind of self discipline.

Oh such fun!!! Your kids are learning "the law of the harvest", and you can see on their faces the joy they have found in their efforts. Yay for your family.
