Wow! I got to help chaperone one of the Nutcracker practices yesterday. It started at 4:15 and ended around 8:00pm. I was soooo hungry and soooo tired as were the girls, that is all except Kennedy. She wanted to stay longer!!! I was definitely ready to call it a night after helping 12 little mice get costumes and noses on and trying to entertain/herd them for an hour and a half. Then we had to practice their Arabian dance which meant we had to wash off ther little black noses and whiskers and make them look beautiful in their Arabian outfits. I was so pleased when they were all put together (it's quite a complicated outfit to get them into). I swear no sooner than we got them dressed, 2 little girls said they had to go potty! I think we were in the bathroom for 20 minutes just taking off all of the pieces and putting them back together. The good news is that Kennedy LOVES it and she hasn't been sick. I'm so glad we got her tonsils out. She hasn't missed one dance practice this fall which is amazing compared to how much she missed it last spring. For those of you coming to see the Nutcracker, you won't be disappointed. And now I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into pulling something like this off.
