Okay...I have no trouble sleeping, but if I did I would sign up to work in the nursery. Since I'm already in the nursery, I'm going to be signing up for a nap (that is as soon as Layne wakes up from his nap).
I am starting to be very grateful that they have decided to split the nursery/soon-to-be-Sunbeam-class in half! Today was NOT one of the finer days of nursery. I think the stars must be out of alignment. It was totally nuts. Kids who don't usually fight were fighting, kids who are usually no problem were sobbing that they wanted their moms, boys thought it was funny to turn the lights on and off (I guess that is normal), one boy pulled out his gum to throw it away and it turned into a stringy, gummy mess, (I'm still surprised that parents send NURSERY-aged kids with gum in their mouths) and we had water spills.
Somehow when you get 8 three-year-old boys and 3 three-year-old girls together it feels like 50! We did get to make our baby Jesus' which the kids were very excited about. The hay-looking raffia made a HUGE mess, however. Mattie told me that I shouldn't bring hay in the church. We had to find the vacuum!
Let's just say I'm exhausted!

That's a cute Nativity thing, I might have to steal the idea for my Sunbeams next week.
Yeah- steal that McKenzie! :) Karson's in her class. Anyway- I'll bet those nursery kids planned on being crazy for you! I'll bet you are so great in there!!
I always thought that the BEST people need to be in nursery, and it looks like you are one of them! The nursery is one of the hardest and most unappreciated callings I think, hope you got that nap you yearned for.
Robert & I were in the nusery for two years! I feel your pain! We had about 35 kids and we would split them up into 3 rooms. I did a post when we got released about what we would miss and what we would NOT miss! You guys are brave doing such a cute craft, they are lucky to have you in their!
