Toy Bags

I knew had to make these when I saw this tutorial from Make It And Love It.   These toys needed a home and the boxes they came in were not holding up.   I was a little nervous at first, but I bought a presser foot that you use when sewing plastic/vinyl and it worked great....you can also put scotch tape on the back of a regular presser foot.
They came together easier than I thought.  The lady on her tutorial says that pinning a rounded fabric to straight vinyl can be "tricky".  I assumed that was code for virtually impossible, but it wasn't, it was a little tricky or more just awkward, but it worked.

Matthew got this race track for balls this Christmas and it really needed a bag before the pieces got lost....I knew he would like the shark fabric, but I figured I'd better planning on making the other kids one or two.

Hyrum's Hot Wheels....he likes it!

I bought a yard of vinyl and it was like 108" wide so I kept on making them since I had the stuff.  I still have more vinyl left.
This little bag of Kennedy's is full of zoobles...it's only about 4 inches in diameter and yes, it was harder than the bigger bags.  I made myself a makeup bag last year, but I kind of like this idea of seeing what's in it.

Here are five of the eight I made....I ran out of the little black stoppers that go on the ties, I need to get some more.  I'm hoping it will help our toys be more organized, I know I'm dreaming....I'm waiting for the day I see all of these toys dumped on the floor and other things like blankets filling the bags.  Kennedy wants another bigger bag for her stuffed animals....the only problem is I don't really care if I ever see another one of these again!!
