T-Ball Queen

Here she is with her coach getting ready to hit at her first game.

I was excited and surprised that Kennedy was interested in playing t-ball. The primary president is coaching and wanted to form an all-girl t-ball team. Little did I know, she will be playing against all-boy or boy/girl teams.

Her first 3 games were rained out and she was pretty bummed. I was pretty glad because she was still recovering from pneumonia. The first game finally happened on Wednesday at 8:30 in the morning and it was actually really fun to watch. The kids are too cute and totally clueless. I was really surprised that the coach stuck Kennedy on the pitcher's mound one inning.....she told me later that Kennedy has a really good arm. My little Kennedy? Pretty impressive, huh? I still really loved seeing a kid hit the ball, the ball heading straight for Kennedy and her just watching it roll by!!! It probably rolled past at least 2 other girls before someone even attempted to pick it up. Too cute.

After the game I asked Kennedy if she had fun. She said, "Ya, it was fun and I think I got some good exercise from all that running and throwing the ball."

It's good exercise for me too because I have to keep chasing Hyrum who is headed for the nearest puddle or the parking lot!
