All right, after Kennedy has been sleeping by herself in the basement for over a year, she has let her imagination run wild and is too scared to sleep downstairs. Matthew has also had a hard time falling asleep at night (he has NOT been in his basement bedroom for some time) regardless of the many nightlights we put in his room, etc. He wants someone to stay with him in his room. For the past few months, bedtime at our house, or just nighttime for that matter has been NO FUN!
So......we have purchased bunk beds and they are both going to sleep upstairs. (Why didn't we just move their twin beds up there? GOOD QUESTION!! With all this lost sleep I was obviously NOT thinking clearly!! AND I think I thought they would stay in bunk beds better because it would be more fun!! I'm such a dreamer) Anyway, my cutely decorated basement bedrooms will remain such. The kids will ONLY be sleeping in the room upstairs. None of their clothing or toys are being moved up. I think that's partly for me to feel like it wasn't a complete waste to paint their rooms and partly because that would be a HUGE pain to move everything.
For the record, I never did want Kennedy down in the basement, but she didn't want to share with her brothers. AND I knew that Matt would never stay down there, but Layne thought it would help Kennedy to be down there too. Well, so far, so good.....we'll see what happens when the "bunkbed novelty" wears off. Until then, it is nice to have our entire little family upstairs again.

Maybe Hyrum should go downstairs. He seems to be pretty content sleeping in his bed!! Too funny.
Yes, it looks like there's a lot of sleeping going on in the sleeping room...hee hee. We've had blanket and pillows on our floor for months now. The kids come in every night...even though we leave a lamp on for them in their room, and they can even hear us talking they are so close. Tegan still tries to climb into our bed, so at least once in the middle of the night I have to tuck them back in on our floor. Lovely, I know.
